Gloria Cesal is originally from Lima, Peru. She is now living in Washington DC.
She sees her paintings as tales laden with suggestion and visual prose. Images that might generate familiarity, but also invoke imaginary spaces. She does not follow any intellectual schema in her work. Her compositions are purely instinctual. The evolution of her work has taken a natural course, following not only the duality of her cultural experience, but also the travels of her own life. She hopes, most of all that her paintings transcend cultural borderlines into the realm of spirit that is felt universally.
Her work has shown extensively and is in many both corporate and private collections.
