My approach to painting is to create subtle images by manipulating the pigment and allowing chance to create its purest form. The images and motifs I feature in "Embora" and "Vase With a Bird" are suggestively familiar -- it allows the viewer to interpret at will. I generally paint listening to the blues and carry thru that energy as I work.
