Artist Statement

The subject matter of much of my work is urban settings and environments that are void of human presence, much influenced by my love of dilapidated cityscapes and the lack of people in settings that usually contain many. Focusing mainly on photography and using mixed-media as a secondary medium I attempt to craft minimalistic images with a strong use of shape and line.
Bio
Graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2001 with a degree in Photography, Larson immediately began to peruse his career working as an intern in a photography studio. While doing so, he fully began to appreciate the ability of photography to be used as an art form and thus began to move more towards fine art, shifting away from the commercial background he was taught in school. Still working in the field of commercial photography, he has branched out into other forms of art and design, including silkscreen prints and mixed-media works.
