About the Artist

Using fine art photography, Gary S. Medovich is a multi-media conceptual artist. His work covers a wide range of themes and visual concepts. Current works include an iconic car series and visual interpretations of "Other Places, Other Spaces", which focuses on various concepts of balance, harmony and energy.
He has a Master of fine arts degree in photography and a masters degree in graphic arts from the University of Iowa. He studied printmaking under celebrated artist Mauricio Lasansky, multi-media with Hans Breder and photography under Peter Feldstein and John Schulz. He also participated in a special summer program with Ansel Adams. While in graduate school, he developed an interest in computer graphics technology through his work as a computer imaging technician under prominent scientist James Van Allen, PhD, then chairman of the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
